Hello! I am Patricia, I am 23 years old and I come from Málaga, in the South of Spain. When I was 18, I moved to Madrid to study a 4-year film degree in college. Since I was little, my parents really encouraged me to learn several languages, specially English. That’s why I lived for two months in Canada when I was 15, and I have been going to English summer camps during my childhood and teenage years.
My love for languages grew as I was growing up as well, so I started learning German and Italian, and this last one stole my heart, so when I saw the chance to come here as a volunteer, where I can expand my knowledge as well as doing something so interesting and useful in a department I enjoy, I didn’t think about it twice! About my hobbies, I am passionate about reading, photography and of course, movies.
Even though my education has been film oriented, I consider crucial to keep learning about other areas where I can apply and expand my knowledge. I chose this ESC because I resonate with its values and objectives. I have always been interested in solidarity, social help and thinking about ways to make the world a better place. I consider volunteering as a way to spread those values, offering my help to others as well as obtaining the benefit of the feeling that I am being helpful brings.
