In the Y.Worker Mobility Project ‘Digital Youth Work’ training organised by the association WORLD-OUR HOME in 2023, it was learned that young people do not know how to deal with anxiety and youth workers do not know how to guide them in these new negative experiences. Unfortunately, if we do not deal with digital anxiety, we are likely to face problems that will fundamentally affect young people's lives, such as disorders resulting from low productivity, FOMO-induced addiction and dissatisfaction, misguided decision-making or unresponsiveness, stress and low self-esteem.
This kind of problems that young people cannot cope with will cause them to be unable to establish healthy relationships with their peers, families and loved ones, to experience distraction, to experience adjustment problems, to experience a decrease in their general well-being and happiness, to experience social withdrawal, to experience physical problems, and to experience anger-based behavioural problems.
In the project, qualitative and quantitative research will be conducted in the field of youth, curricula will be developed and activities will be planned with both young people and youth workers.Through the activities proposed by the project, young people and youth workers will gain awareness in this field and learn methods of coping with these problems. By realising all these, we will serve a healthier and happier society. Digitalisation shows itself as a result of the constantly developing technologies of the age. In this process, the digital revolution and digital integrations in life arouse excitement in all of us. As social individuals, placing our digital adaptation on the right foundations will help future generations to produce and consume technology in the right way.
Target Group
The most important target group in the project is young people. The project aims to improve the well-being of young people experiencing digital anxiety in the digital age. Among young people, disadvantaged and disabled young people may experience digital anxiety differently from each other.
For this reason, young people with different situations among young peopleare the main target group of the project. These young people between the ages of 17-30 in high school and university, young people living in the rural areas, disadvantaged young people within the social service will be reached through project activities.
Another important target group is youth workers. Youth workers, who can organise themselves through open access resources, will be able to influence their peers and the social base by playing an active role in NGOs, schools, universities and social service organisations through the activities they will create.
As the project contents will be written as open source in 3 languages (Latvian, Italian and Turkish) and will also be shared in English, there will be an opportunity to provide access to all young people experiencing digital anxiety in the EU and at the same time to youth workers.

Objectives of the projects
The goals and results we want to achieve with the implementation of the project are entirely related to the principle we have chosen, “Addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity”, affecting the youth field in all its dimensions. It also affects the transnational partnership, the sharing of experience between organizations and the increase of their working capacities.
As stated in the European Declaration on Digital Rights and Principles,‘Digital transformation affects all areas of human life’ and there are also risky sides in this transformation. We aim to empower young people in the digital era by putting people at the centre.
We want to raise awareness by explaining what digital anxiety in young people is, its symptoms and effects to a wide audience as the EU moves towards the Digital Goal 2030.
During the project, 75 young from 3 countries will be surveyed and 15 young will be interviewed. Afterwards, anxiety problems experienced by youngster will be determined by analysing these studies. Then a curriculum will be developed based on the methods of struggle.
In addition, we want to provide information and resources to help young people cope with digital anxiety.14 youngsters from 3 different countries will experience recognising and dealing with their digital anxiety in the workshop planned to be held with young people in Italy. The Open Access Resource
Digital Toolkit will guide them.
We want to present new strategies for youth workers to manage digital anxiety and share practical applications in the training of youth workers in Turkey.12 Youth workers will come together and experience this issue with their colleagues in different countries.
