Testimonianza di Jessica

Portugal, outubro 2025
"Hi, my name is Jessica, I’m from Italy and I’m currently volunteering in Portugal.
This month has been very calm and meaningful for me. I’ve started to feel more connected with my life here, more at peace with myself and with the rhythm of the city.
One of the places that became special to me is the beach in Carcavelos, “Praia dos Gémeos”. There’s a small cliff there where you can sit and watch the ocean. The sunsets are beautiful, and it has become a place where I go to breathe, reflect, and feel grounded.
Thanks to my service at the Marinha Museum in Belém, I had the chance to visit the submarine “Barracuda” and the Fragata D. Fernando || e Gloria during a guided tour. It was a moment that truly impressed me. Seeing these places up close, learning their history, and being surrounded by the sea atmosphere reminded me of why I love being part of this experience.
I am really happy to be here. To learn, to explore, and to grow each day. I’m grateful to be part of this project, and I’m looking forward to discovering more in the next months."
