"After graduating from university, all I wanted was to relax a little bit before starting work, learn a new language and travel the world. With the ESC programme I discovered for these purposes, I was accepted to a long-term project in Italy. This journey, which I set out with the idea that I would live in Italy for 1 year and maybe learn a language, has become a life-changing experience. While I was trying to get used to Bologna in the first processes, I was learning the language and gained a lot of experience in social media management and the use of digital tools within the scope of the subject of my project. I took part in the English speaking clubs of the municipality and carried out local studies. Thanks to the Italian lessons I took during the process, I constantly practised inside and outside the office. After I got used to Bologna, life got even better. First Christmas, then open-air cinema under the stars and then a holiday in southern Italy, this was not an EU project, but a year in which I made the most beautiful memories. Camilla and Karolina, who made this process the most fun and unforgettable and backed up all the crazy ideas; to my old roommate Beata, who accustomed me to the Polish culture; to all my flatmates; to Kuba, who made me feel loved without any emotion (?); Aura and Nadia, the real reinas of Spain; Giada, who introduced me to the harsh faces of the most important values of the world and made a great effort for me to turn to activism, but never stopped loving me even if she failed; and most importantly, Milena, who made me love what I do, was patient with all my follies and was always the best boss of all times with her kindness. You made this project real, not just an ESC project."
